* The Island of Kalem is located on the shores of Bademli Bay, the sailors' hidden paradise spot, in the district of Dikili-Izmir. The island is situated between Garip Island and shores of Bademli and has a distance of about 450 meters to mainland. Each side of the island provides different sea shores therefore a major variety of underwater life can be found.
* The island has the perfect coordinates for interesting places and historical places. It has 150 km to Truva and 120 km to Assos and 165 km to Efes ancient cities,42 km to Ayvalık and 25 km to Bergama and Midilli Island Lesbos is only 13 sea miles away.
